Talky Talky A Lot...

I feel like time is passing me by and everyday that goes I think, "I need to write this down, blog about it, take a picture..." And most days none of my ideas come to fruition which is very frustrating, especially when I'm trying to calm my nerves because in my head I think Ari's been saying, "Nuh uh" as the response to everything for weeks when really it's only been 3 days. Or the fact that Ari does/says something new almost everyday and I can barely keep up. He is a little sponge when it comes to learning new signs and at this point he knows everything we know so I'm having to learn more to teach him more. All of this I'm grateful for but boy is this little boy smart! He can also repeat pretty much anything you ask of him and has gotten really good at "I love you." *heart melting*

About 3 weeks ago he found Sarea's copy of ABC by Dr. Seuss in her room and has been having us read it daily. He calls it, "A A A." I can't get over how fast he catches on to things from the book and applies them to other times in his day. Like in his bathroom, the shower curtain has jungle animals on it and he walked in last week and pointed to the elephant and said, "Elephant, e e e." What?! I was over the moon when I found a computer program for this book that reads it to him, gives more examples and even has some games. And bonus it came with the board book version that is perfect for the diaper bag!

Ari's New Skills....

So, it's been almost a month since I last blogged and boy do things change in 4 weeks!!!

Ari is now WALKING up & down the stairs by himself! Super scary to watch but, fingers crossed, he hasn't fallen once.

Ari's vocabulary has really taken off. His favorite words as of late being 'airplane' and 'no.' The 'no' is really funny because he says it as an answer to everything. Example: "Do you love Momma?" Ari: "No!" "Do you want a cookie?" Ari: "No!" Lol!!! He can also for the most part attempt to repeat anything you ask of him. My favorite was last week on Kaitlyn's birthday, we called her and I got Ari to repeat, "Happy Birthday Katilyn." So sweet!

We went to Ari's 1st movie today, Open Season. It was the first movie in the "Summer Movie Clubhouse" at Cinemark. $5 for 10 movies... count me in!!! We have this giant popcorn tub I bought a couple of times ago that you can fill for just $3... so with tickets & popcorn in hand we made our way to the theatre. I was a little nervous because Ari is not a good t.v./movie watcher. But much to my surprise he sat through the entire movie on my lap and ate half the popcorn!!

And how could I forget to tell you all that Ari LOVES to dance!!! He's been dancing for a while now but has pretty much perfected his "shoulder pump." It is so funny! If he hears music, even on a commercial, he'll stop whatever he's doing and bust a move. Enjoy...

Palm Beach

On Memorial Day we headed down to Galveston for Ari's 1st visit to our favorite little water park... Palm Beach. (http://www.galveston.com/palmbeach/) It is very "kid friendly" and a nice place to hang out. We were lucky enough to take our cousins, Stormy & Dallas too! We all had a great time and Ari tried to take it all in. Side note: Ari can't stand sand. He doesn't like to be dirty so the sand on his feet was very overwhelming. Poor baby would try to clean it off then his hands would be all sandy. Needless to say this charade ending everytime in tears with Ari exclaiming, "Gucky!!" haha! Hope he gets over it soon since we bought season passes. ;)

Poor Anton had to be on the receiving end of my despair about loosing the photos/videos from yesterday this morning. Not 5 minutes after our call I got an e-mail from him with some advice on how to maybe retrieve them from the computer. I am not computer literate AT ALL so I was over the moon when after a 10 minute search I found all the photos & videos!!!! They still aren't in iPhoto but I was able to grab them from the Finder folder.

Ari is 18 Months...

So Ari turned 18 months this past week and is "getting to be such a big boy!" As I was sitting here thinking of all I wanted to include in the post I could hear Ari in the other room making noises not common with Ari play. It wasn't hard to find him since he was right next door, in his bathroom, IN THE SINK!!! He was throwing everything off the counter and proclaiming, "Uh oh!" Little stinker!!!

Anyhow, yesterday was Ari's first day in Nursery and he did amazing!!! I was a little concerned since his new nap time is anywhere from 10am to noon and our church service is from 11-2! He did actually fall asleep around 11:30 but when he woke up around 12:30 I was like, "Don't you want to go to Nursery now?!" Poor baby was all groggy but the second we walked in the room he was wiggle city to get down and play. :)

Ari also had his 18 month check up on Thursday. I make sure Anton attends these because when Dr. Abbott sees Ari without Anton present he seems a little concerned about his growth... or lack thereof. But I was relieved to know that he does have it written in Ari's chart that Dad is "tall & lean." :p Ari weighed in at a respectable 21 pounds and took his 2 shots like a pro! In fact he cried louder when Daddy left the room to go potty. ;)

After Dr. visit treat: a trip to Target. ;)

As of this morning Ari has 15 teeth either fully in or working on it. He still loves his Chick-fil and loves all kinds of fruit!!! He also is very talkative. He can for the most part repeat anything you ask of him. Which very much impressed Dr. Abbott. He said that is very advanced for an 18 month old especially since some words you can tell he doesn't know how to say but attempts. His favorite words these days are "ball" (which he also signs) and "airplane." And who could forget "poo poo!" He can now tell us when he's gone poo poo which also means pee pee so that's very different.

Ari Status Report:

Ari went to the doctor Tuesday for a high fever. He has never really had a consistent fever nor one as high as 103.8. :( They drew blood and came the conclusion it was a viral infection and his fever should subside in about 5 days. That night Ari temperature was already down!

Super funny extra: When the doctor was leaving the room Ari said (in what seemed like perfect English), "I need you." I know I sound crazy but Emma was there and she totally heard it too! We both started cracking up laughing!!!

Also, as a result of our visit I decided to downgrade Ari's diaper size. I'm not quite sure why I went up to size 4 but it is clear he is still a tiny guy (20.8 pounds) and that is way in the size 3 range. Bonus - you get 10 more diapers for the same price! :)

Ari is also talking up a storm!!! His favorite word for the moment is, "Stop." Which he pronounces, "Stah." Wednesday morning while running errands Emma told him "No No" to which he replied, "No!" Uh-oh... here we go. I tell you this because that was the first time he's ever said "No." Which for a 17 month old I think is pretty impressive. I read an article a couple of months ago that emphasized not telling your child "No" but rather giving them a different option. Don't kid yourself, we still tell him no at times but it is rare.

Ari has been like a little parrot lately repeating all of our names. Which was awesome since all of our family was in town. He can say, Oggie, Kay Kay, Pop (Pa), Nana, Emma (Mem-ma) & Rea.

I taught Ari how to sign "hurt" and "sorry" yesterday after he chucked one of Sarea's toys at my face. Lol! I also taught him "candy." (which I accidentally told him was for "apple")

And the best for last: When we tell Ari it is time to pray he holds his little hands until "Amen" is proclaimed. (No matter how long the prayer... Julian....) ;) Last night Anton said he even said "Amen." Could that be any cuter?!

Easter Weekend 2010

The above photos were taken last Sunday, March 28th. Since General Conference was Easter weekend he wore his outfit a week early. Dashing don't you think?

We have had a super busy, super fun weekend!!! It started on Saturday when we both thought it was Ari's 18 month birthday. We got up, had a special breakfast (donut holes for Ari) and then made a list of things that mainly revolved around Ari. (cleaning his car seat was for his benefit - so that counts, right?) About mid day I was informed that Ari was in fact only 17 months old... I guess I was counting April as the 6th month since his birthday but you have to count the entire month since he was born on the 3rd of November. Oops. Oh well, the party must go on. :)

See we even got him a half year birthday present. Lol. (Actually Anton had bought this for him during the week for fun)

It was a bit cold but this splash park is going to be perfect for those hot Houston summer days!

I just need to let you all know how awesome Ari is... if anyone was wondering. ;)

As of 3 days ago he's been going down for his nap at noon instead of 1pm. And when I lay him down, still awake, he just lays there completely comfortable that I'm leaving the room. I'm quite proud of myself for recognizing that he needed to lay down earlier. He hadn't been throwing fits or anything I just try to watch for his cues better.

Also in the past 2 weeks or so Ari has really been picking up new signs and trying to say words...

Beach Day...

Well the plan was to head to Galveston for Ari's 1st trip to the Gulf Coast but it was so rainy we had to make other plans. Instead we met up with Dad at Lupe's for lunch then Nana & I took the boys (Pop and Ari) back home for naps while we ran errands. All in all it was a great day starting at 10am and ending at 6pm! What a fun day!!! Here are some photos from the day...

So Pop stayed with us for the past 10 days or so and made it his goal to get Ari sleep trained. I think he'd of been happy to just get Ari to sleep in his crib, to tell you the truth. Needless to say Pop jumped on the task and I can say today that what he did has completely changed our lives!

Ari now goes to bed at 8pm with a story, scriptures, a prayer and being rocked in his room for 10 minutes. And he lays down at 1pm in the afternoon by way of a similar routine. Most of you know, Ari is not a great sleeper and has never been a fan of being in his crib. Well, times have changed! When he gets his 10 minute warning downstairs for nap/bed he understands and starts picking up his toys. Then when you're walking up the stairs he lays his head on your shoulder completely content with what's about to happen.

WOW!!!

We have also in the last 10 days stopped putting him to bed by way of a bottle. (he's only been getting his bottle at night since he was 13 months old) We used to lay him on the couch with us and give him a ba-ba then move him to the floor or our bed for the night. He's getting better at sleeping through the night and only wakes up at 3am every other night or so.

We are so grateful to Pop and all his dedication to this task! It has really given us the push to continue it and enjoy the routine.

Our camera can't get here fast enough! Ari said "nan na" last night after he noticed a banana!! He kept saying it over and over and signing "more." I can't wait to film it so we'll have his little voice on record.

I have also been trying to teach Ari to sign "please"... it goes really well but he still won't do it on his own. I'll move his hand for him then let go and he'll continue. It's a start, right? It is so fun to be able to communicate with him!!! He still has major meltdowns when we don't "get it" but we figure that's bound to happen anyhow.

Valentine's Day Weekend

On Saturday we made Daddy some strawberry gummies as a treat. (So easy & fun!)

We also made home-made Oreo's and packaged them up with a cute Valentine from Ari and delivered them to our dear friends. It was a lot of fun to surprise everyone with a little treat and an "I love you!" :)

Our V-Day 2010 was pretty uneventful... which is a good thing sometimes. We got up to make Ari a special breakfast but shortly after that he started showing signs of a not so happy camper. He's had a runny nose for a while but this particular day seemed to get the best of him. He was all foggy like with swollen eyes. :( After church we met up with Nana, Pop & Aunt Eileen for lunch then home for naps. We all rested most of the day and Ari was back in rare form by the evening. ;)

I bought a bunch of little activities for us to do as a family (decorating hearts and stuff) but we've yet to do any of them. Lol. So much for planning ahead. Maybe next year.

Ari's 15 Month Checkup

Ari weighed in at 20 lbs 3 oz - making him still in the 5th percentile. It's nothing new to Dr. Abbott since he's been in the 3rd to 5th percent his whole baby life. ;) I am always happy when Anton comes with us so Dr. Abbott has the proof for Ari's skinniness right in front of him. A couple of months ago he didn't come with us and I got a pretty stern talking to about how Ari needs to be eating more. Guess we'll keep pumping him full of blueberries & Chick-fil-A nuggets! His favorites... oh and pretzels.

His height is 30 3/4 in - which is 75th percentile. This is surprising since he doesn't seem that tall... but charts don't lie, right?

Dr. Abbott did let us know that we need to be interacting with Ari a ton at this age and to start working on naming body parts. We came home and I immediately began trying to get Ari to recognize "nose." I'd point to mine then his. Well, when Anton came home a couple of hours later (and Ari had napped in between) I asked him where my nose was and he walked over and pointed to it! What a genius!!! Lol. Guess we need to step it up since he's so receptive to learning. How cool is that?!

Tonight Ari signed "bath" for the 1st time by himself! He is also signing, "more" (his 1st sign) and "eat." He is a very smart boy and it is so nice to be able to communicate with him... even if it is only with a couple of signs. ;) We do about 20-30 signs a day with him and he seems to understand them so I'm sure it's only a matter of time before he starts signing them back at us!

We are heading out tomorrow for Ari's 1st international trip! I sure hope he loves Paris as much as I do! ;) We don't have our laptop anymore so I won't be updating the blog until we get back on Monday.

Quick favor: Please do not send any texts to either of our phones. Even with the international roaming turned off & putting our phones on "Airplane" mode it will still cost us .50 per text. We will have WiFi at our hotel and can e-mail/facebook. So fill free to get a hold of us that way... if anyone even needs to.

Ari's 1st Gingerbread House

We signed up for a gingerbread house class this weekend and had a lot of fun! Okay so Anton decorated most of the house, I watched and Ari ate candy the whole time...but fun was had by all! It was so funny because the lady working the event was shocked when we said we were done and didn't want to add anymore candy. I mean for real how much candy does it really need?! ;) It took about an hour start to finish and only cost $12.99! Didn't have to buy a kit... buy candy... or clean up the kitchen... SCORE!

P.S. The snowman was my idea! :)

ToysRUs Birthday Shopping

Yesterday Ari received the sweetest card from Aunt Linda & Uncle Mike wishing him the best 1st birthday ever and included a ToysRUs gift card. Well, this morning Ari wouldn't quite bugging me till I took him there! ;) Earlier in the year I signed him up for the Birthday club and had received a card last month stating to bring it to customer service and they would make sure his birthday shopping celebration was memorable. They gave Ari a hat & a balloon! I didn't time it very well because Ari was getting pretty sleepy but we did manage to find a Baby Einstein First Words book, Thomas & Friends: Sir Topham Hatt's car & a Melissa & Doug Monthly Magnetic Calendar. What an awesome trip! Ari had so much fun & it was nice to be able to splurge with Aunt Linda & Uncle Mike's help!!! Love you guys!!!

New Moon & Sushi

Auntie Em called dibs on watching Ari today so I thought it'd be a great opportunity for me to sneak out and see New Moon by myself. Much to my surprise when I ran this plan by Anton he was shocked I'd go by myself and upset I hadn't invited him. He took the morning off (of course not mentioning to his bosses why. wink wink) & joined me. As I came downstairs to leave I found a big box with a ribbon & note stating: Happy Twilight Day! Love, Bunny and inside was a Edward Cullen t-shirt! I was so excited and changed immediately!

We wrote 'Team Edward' on our arms spoofing Emma! ;)

After the movie Anton went to work while Emma, Ari & I went to the store to buy the ingredients for California rolls and egg rolls. Wow were they good! And so easy too! Thanks Emma for all your help today!! What great memories. :)

COUPON ORGANIZATION IS KEY TO SAVING BIG!

There are many different ways to clip, and organize your coupons. You have to find what works best for you. We've found our favorite way through trial and error and finally came upon the wonderful binder method!!

Supplies Needed

A Binder....make sure to buy one that zips up! We previously tried the non-zip ones, and one day while out and about the coupons decided to fly away with the wind!

Baseball card inserts - They will help you see all your coupon laid out in front of you. You can buy a pack of 30 at Walmart. Once you get hooked you will probably need more then one pack!

Dividers with labels so you can keep every coupon neatly categorized. Avoid the less expensive paper dividers as they tear easily. We highly recommend getting the higher priced plastic ones!

Other items stored in your binder should be a pair of scissors, envelopes, and a calculator. We label the envelopes for different store coupons acquired such as Target and Toys-R-Us.

Optional categories for your binder:

beverages
package/canned goods
backing (spices, herbs)
cereal/breakfast
snacks/candy
dairy

I'm going to attempt once again to work on my blogging skills. Computers are definitely not my forte but here goes..

Ari is getting to be such a big boy! He loves to say, "Yeah!" in response to EVERYTHING! And just today discovered that his little left index finger fits perfectly up his nose. Lol! We also purchased a big boy car seat 2 days ago for him and he seems to enjoy it better than the infant carrier. He's still facing backwards due to his weight but I've read that children facing backwards is the safest and should as long as possible. We'll see how long I can prolong turning him around.

Today was a very special day, not just because it was Valentine's Day but because Grayson Wayne was blessed this morning. We were lucky enough to attend and witness this very special event. Anton does not hold the Melchizedek Priesthood yet so he couldn't stand in the circle but being in the room with Clarissa, Rod and all their family was just perfect! And he can always stand in the circle for their next child. ;) Clear Lake 2nd ward has brought us many blessings including Clarissa, Rod and their 2 adorable children. We are so happy we have them in our lives.

Today was my 1st day at Continental in 3 months! Wow - where does time go?! Ari was totally fine with me leaving him since he was in the care of his Nana and Pop. He got 4 bottles, 3 naps and 2 walks! What a busy guy!!!

Poor Ari is Sick Again

We set up a doctors appointment for Ari for a diaper rash then the morning of he threw up and started couching. Yikes... good thing he was already going to the doctor! Dr. Abbott did some blood work and couldn't find anything wrong with him besides it being another viral infection. We have kept a close watch on him and he seems to be doing much better. Not at all like the last one that lasted 10 very long days.

Today was an ultra special day because Anton was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! This is a very special time for our little family and we couldn't be happier. Today was an extra special day since it was Celia's 27th Birthday and Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Em all flew into town! We were so lucky to meet Raleigh today! It was is 1st trip EVER to Texas with many to come in the future I'm sure. We showed them how Ari was our Christmas present and put him under the tree for the millionth time. :) We also showed Raleigh all the ornaments on the tree. Good times are best shared with family. Ari went to the Dr. today for a cough and fever. Dr. Abbott said he has a viral infection - there is no remedy, so he'll have to just work it out. :( We did go get a humidifier to help him out. He weighed 9 lbs. 4 oz. and is 23 and a quarter in. long.

Ari journeyed all the way to Kingwood on Friday to my BFF Rynn's house for a visit. She has the most beautiful tree and Ari loved gazing at the lights. We hope to get ours up this week. (fingers crossed)

3 Weeks Today

Ari went back to the Dr. today for his 3 week check up. Everyone should be very pleased to know that Ari now weighs 7 lbs. 7 oz. which is a lot for him!! ;) He did very well until the mean lab tech pricked his baby heal and squeezed the blood out for what felt like forever. Luckily Buddy was holding him so he couldn't see his face. It wouldn't of helped if all 3 of us had been crying. Tear. Dr. Abbott said he's in the 25th percentile for weight and height so he has some catching up to do. But he's well on his way.

Also today Ari got to meet his Auntie Em! He was such a sweet boy and I'm pretty sure he's got her wrapped around his adorable little finger too.

Ari's 1st Dr.'s Appointment

Ari had his first doctor's appointment today. Dr Abbott is great and said Ari looks really good. He weighed in at 5 lbs 12 oz and 19 1/2 in. His color is perfect! His next appointment is Nov 25th at 9:30am.

Ari Kyle Thorn has Arrived!!!

As many of you already know after my Dr's visit this morning I was quite upset that he didn't strip my membranes and Nana and I decided to take matters into our own hands. We went to the Y and Ari and I read a magazine by the pool. After that we headed to the nearest Mexican food restaurant where I could stuff everything spicy in my face. After which I had horrible heart burn. Not cool. Mom said I was squirming to much and came up with the word, "Popcorn" to say if I was in real pain. We met up with Pop at his Dr's appt and watched Maury on tv then headed to Target to "walk Ari out." Buddy came by Target after work to pick me up and we headed home. Due to the traffic on 45 we took a detour through Clear Lake ending at Buddy's parents house. I had put some stuff in his truck the night before to go to there house so it seemed as good a time as any to drop it off. We chatted with them for a while then headed to the house to eat Mexican food leftovers. Not much later I started feeling immense pressure in my belly. Buddy had been writing down a log of my contractions so we would know when they were 5-6 minutes apart and lasting 30-45 seconds for an hour.

At about 20 minutes I couldn't take it anymore and asked (okay maybe demanded) Buddy to call Dr. Baden. He advised us to head to the hospital which was what I was planning on. :) When we arrived they took us into a room to check us out. (I guess to see how serious my yelps really were) Upon first check I was 6 cm dilated which was a huge difference from the 3 cm I've been for the past week and a half. I asked for an epidural but was told they would have to do blood work and check me in first. (It's 9:40pm at this time) Nana shows up and her and Buddy do there best to keep me calm. My nurse puts in my IV and rolls me on my side to slow the contractions down to wait for Dr. Baden. But you know this little boy wasn't going to be stopped. On the next contraction my water burst (loudly, I might add) and I was ready for labor - NO EPIDURAL LATER!!!

They rushed us down to a birthing room where as soon as the door shut I was being told to push. At 10:17 pm and 1 1/2 pushes later Ari was here!!!!! I was in utter shock along with pretty much everyone else in the room. I guess it's safe to say he's as stubborn as his mom and was going to come when he was ready.

He weighed in at 6 lbs 4 oz and is 18 in long. We are all doing great and can't wait for this new journey!!!! We are currently at Memorial Hermann Southeast, room 402 and our phone number in the room is 281-669-8402. Thanks to all who have checked up on us and constantly kept us in your minds. We can't wait for you all to meet him!!!!

Ari's Finished Room/Nesting/Update

Okay, so we need to go over Thursday and Friday...

Thursday:

I lounged around the house till about noon. Then I went to vote (as I promised Buddy I would), and this time the line was not just wrapped around the library on the side but on BOTH sides and going out the front into the parking lot. At this point, you know I'm thinking, "Oh, 'H' no." Then the protruding 20 pounds that is my belly kicked me as if to say, "Remember me? Let's go to the front." I thought about it for a millisecond then marched up to the front. We're talking about passing at least 500 people. The poor volunteer guy was so old he couldn't hear, and you know I was ignoring the stares that were being cast. All of a sudden another lady came over and grabbed my arm and took me to the little "check in area." BAM! - two minutes later I walked out, and it was done.

I piddled around doing a couple of other things after that, and then came home and waited for Buddy. When he got home, we changed the air filters, mowed, set up Ari's baby monitor and lamp dimmer, and set up the stroller Ari's Nanga & Pappy got him. It's so cool. It's a shell that holds his car seat carrier. We taught each other how to use it and then headed to bed.

Friday:

As most of you know, Buddy has been living off of his parenting books and now he is in full nesting mode, or at least he's been reading about it and freaking me out! LOL! So needless to say, we were up around 7:00 a.m. to get ready to leave the house to get more food and stuff to fill the pantry/refrigerator. At 11:30 we (Ari and I) met Buddy and Pappy over at the OG for some lunch and conversation. After that, I ran to Target (well, not so much ran as waddled) and shopped for more things using the list Buddy had printed for me the night before. I came home, watched a court show or two, then crashed for about three hours! I guess I was pretty tired. When I awoke it was about seven o'clock, and I headed over to Nanga & Pappy's for some pizza. We all sat in the front room for about an hour and chatted (which was nice). Then we headed home to bed.

I did wake up this morning around 2:00 a.m. in a lot of lower abdominal pain, but after about who-knows-how-long it went away and didn't return. I don't know what that was all about, but as it is November 1st, Ari is more than welcome to arrive today. ;) It's funny: when I was talking to Nana last night, she said, "It's hilarious how much control you think you have over when he arrives." To which I responded, "I know. Isn't it cute?!" LOL! Now we wait, I suppose. I have a doctor's appointment on Monday at 9:30 a.m., and if this precious boy has not come yet they are going to "force the process". I won't go into details...

37 Weeks - Wednesday Daily Update

Another day down! We didn't get up with Buddy this morning because he got way to early for a meeting. We rolled out of bed around 8am and had a bowl of cereal. For the next 5 hours or so we cleaned the house. It was funny because if I was on the 1st floor I'd try to stay there for at least an hour and the same with the 2nd floor. Otherwise I would of been up and down a trillion times.

Around 1 Nana came and got me and we started our errands for the day. First being lunch - Nana picked the OG, which is always a safe choice. After that we went to the mall were Nana pushed me in a wheel chair from store to store. I picked up some nursing clothes and we even found Ari's Christmas picture outfit at Baby Gap. So very cute!!! After the mall we went to Babies R us to get more last minute stuff - but annoyingly enough the main thing I needed/wanted was all sold out. Just our luck... LOL! Well, that was our Wednesday. Stay tuned for the next addition of holding Ari in until Saturday. :)

Daily Update

So as you can imagine we are getting quite nervous about our upcoming day! I stopped working today at Continental to rest up. I have been making lists and lists of things to get done and/or get before Ari arrives. This weekend we stocked the freezer w/ hamburger meat, chicken breasts & drumsticks, steak & a roast. Nana was very impressed with our preparations.

On Monday (yesterday) Denise said she would be surprised if I last the week. Eek! As most of you know my original due date was November 16th then Dr. Baden said November 6th and then back to November 10th and NOW any day!!!! I totally flipped out and of course ran to Babies R Us and bought who knows what in sheer terror that I was going to go into labor there at the store. ;)

I was supposed to lay down all day with my feet up but that is not a very easy task for me. I got up with Buddy at 6:45 am and made us some oatmeal and packed his lunch. Once he left I did a couple silly things around here (all on the 1st floor) then left to go to the dreaded DMV. I only had to wait about 30 mins. to change my address. I went by the library to vote but upon seeing the line wrapped around the building I though better of it. I ran to the dry cleaners, Target, Chick-fil-A... you getting the pattern now. :) I met Nana at Oasis for pedi's - which was nice. (Mine w/ no massage of course - I didn't want them to induce my labor w/ pressure points!) After that I went w/ Nana to the hair salon where she got all pretty for Ari. She also made some killer vegetable soup for dinner. Yummy! I made one more stop on the way home at Home Depot to pick up new air filters for the house. I am obsessed w/ changing all the batteries in the smoke detectors and air filters.

I'll try to get better about blogging here in the last days. Thank you everyone for the calls and warm wishes! It won't be long now.
